FUN FAIR IS COMING – Volunteers are needed!

SUNDAY, MARCH 22 10am-4pm

We are trying something new this year for signing up volunteers for Fun Fair. Fun Fair is made up of many moving parts, all of which require parents, staff, and Cottage alums and friends stepping up to volunteer.  This year almost all of those volunteer needs have been inputted into two SignUpGenius sign-ups.  Please consider signing up for at least one time slot in both sign-ups!

Class Booth Volunteer Sign-Ups (Grades K-4)

This is a sign up for the setup, staffing and cleanup for each class’ booth at Fun Fair. The games are already created and come with simple instructions for how to run them.  Your kids are welcome to volunteer with you while working the class booth.  However, we ask that kids do not join setup or cleanup, which involve heavy lifting of games and tables throughout the school.  If your child’s class booth sign up is already full, please consider signing up to help with another class booth and/or another area of Fun Fair as found in the General Fun Fair Volunteer Sign Ups below.

General Fun Fair Volunteer Sign-Ups

This is a sign up for almost all other areas staffed by volunteers at Fun Fair. This includes: Set Up, Book Sale, Cake Room, Cake Walk, Cougar Gear, Face Painting, Glitter Tattoos, Green Room, Photo Booth, Pocket Lady, Pretzels & Slush, Prize Room, Raffles, Tickets, and Clean Up.  There are Adult Volunteer slots and slots reserved for Cottage alums and friends, so please be mindful and only sign up for Adult Volunteer slots.  We ask that your elementary aged kids do not join you for these volunteer jobs.

Note to Fifth Grade Parents: it’s your turn for you and your children to staff the Café!  Keep an eye out for separate correspondence for signing you and your child up for working the Café.  Please note that if your child would like to host or serve, you are required to volunteer for at least one hour in the Café yourself.

Stay tuned for separate correspondence about how and when to donate raffle items (both classroom and family donations), books, cakes, and café food items.

For those new to Cottage, welcome to the Fun Fair experience! You should have received an email called “What is Fun Fair?” from Cottage PTO.  If you still have questions, Betsy Strauss ([email protected]) and Candice Gopin ([email protected]) can answer them.
